babble.
So, I hope to be start on some new pieces soon since it's been a while. The remainder of this week should return to some form of normalcy.
Sunday was bittersweet because it was my kid sister's big 1-0 birthday, but also a going away "celebration". As of today, my mom is an official Floridian once more. But I'll see the two of them soon &, of course get to stop by my dearly missed beach when I visit.
On top of their move, a dear friend went in for some serious surgery yesterday. I'll spare the details, but today's update was good.
I've been trying to keep my mind pretty occupied the past couple of days for obvious reasons, but me handling a needle for any length of time was sooo not on the agenda. Blood, sweat & tears should remain only a figure of speech!

color theory. yellow and gray.
I was flipping through a magazine earlier & came across this Carnegie fabric ad. Simply love the color combos. Not that the combo is new & actually has gone through a recent burst of trendiness [like CB2, HERE], but still...
And for some more eye candy, here are some gorgeous finds over on Pinterest:

Phew. That's a lot of eye candy.

it makes me smile. hello.
This absolutely just made my day. I can't stop laughing now. And just in case you're too young to understand...enjoy the video. Classic!
So, until I saw this comment, I had never really thought about it. But now, I have to look at the video in a whole new light. So not cool. My bubble is officially busted. ;)

more fabric.
Really? More fabric, you say. I think my office finds it highly amusing to leave me stacks of fabric for me to find the next morning. This is what's still left after giving some away.
Remember the other week, I rearranged all around the studio & dedicated one closet to my fabric collection...

Sick, right?
I'm trying to trying to begin work on new items for the shop, but I have a few custom things to finish up first.
