Verdict in: eucalyptus blend pillowcases

So I laundered the eucalyptus blend pillowcases. Quite disappointing for a product marketed towards hotels. Read about the Valley Forge pillowcases that I wrote about previously here

Design Fix: reclaimed decorative letters

Decorative letters and words are a great addition as alternative art to the home. Many home good-type stores have them these days, but they all seem to look alike & are often traditional in design. These reclaimed marquis letters from IOUvintage are fun & unique. And the channel letters would also make a great sculpture piece. Definitely great conversational pieces!

Wednesday Feature: favors, two ways

Most of my friends back at Flagler College were in graphic design (well, for that matter, so were many of my friends at the Art Institute too!) & I instantly fell in love with typography. I love the simplicity & graphic nature of the these favors!

Now on the other hand, I simply adore these favors inspired by the outdoors. I live right beside the Chattahoochee River & go out on the trails as often as I'm able.

diy project: seedling kit favors

This is a darling seedling favor diy project that was featured on Etsy's How-Tuesday series. While it's marketed as a wedding favor, I think it could translate well into other occasions. Perhaps a more substantial version would make a sweet hostess or house warming gift, too?!

The tutorial is posted here on Project Wedding

****My two cents: You could also use a cookie tin to store everything in & use as the container for the plant. One of my carpet companies actually handed out our very own organic wheat grass seedlings kits that way. This was a promotional gimmick from them, but a neat one. Durkan ordered the grass tins in bulk from a company like 4imprint.

To build on that idea, wouldn't this turn into a fantastic idea for the pet lovers?! You could easily create a kit based on the tutorial above. And you can purchase organic grass seeds from Olive Barn for dogs...

or cats...
including cat nip

And they're only a few bucks each!

Cheap entertainment!
